What is On-Site Chair Massage?

In busy Corporate America, Chair Massage is becoming one of the fastest growing trends.  More and more, the discomforts at the workplace are not from heavy lifting, but from sitting hunched over a computer terminal or curled into a telephone all day.  With the rising costs of health care, companies are recognizing the importance of massage as a means of preventive medicine.

Today massage has acquired a new popularity and legitimacy, due to the increased awareness of the effects of stress and the need for touch in an increasingly mechanized world.  Endorsed by many employers, who no longer consider this a luxury since it improves worker productivity and morale, its right up there with exercise and eating right.  It’s quick, easy and you don’t need to leave your office.
Sessions are generally 10 to 20 minutes in length and treat the back, shoulders, neck, head, arms and hands.  The associate sits fully clothed in an ergonomically designed, professional massage chair.  The therapist precisely targets and dissolves muscle tension with a skillful combination of pressure points and soothing touch.  Since the work is performed directly through the clothing, no oil is necessary.  Fatigue, stiffness and anxiety are kneaded away, and the associate leaves feeling invigorated and refreshed, with renewed energy to meet the challenges of the day.
